Connecting Corrosion Professionals Across Australasia
The Australasian Corrosion Association (ACA) is pleased to present the NZ/AU Technical Symposium & Expo 2026, a new multi-city technical event series designed to bring together corrosion and asset protection professionals across New Zealand and Australia.
Developed following consultation with members, industry stakeholders, conference leadership and host partners, this format delivers a highly focused and accessible program of technical presentations, industry engagement, networking and exhibition opportunities while creating stronger connections with regional corrosion communities.
The NZ/AU Technical Symposium & Expo will visit three cities across Australasia, providing delegates, sponsors, exhibitors and presenters with multiple opportunities to engage with industry professionals and share technical knowledge.

What to Expect
The NZ/AU Technical Symposium & Expo has been designed to deliver practical, relevant and high-quality technical content in a format that encourages participation from across the corrosion and asset protection community.
Each event will feature:
- Peer-reviewed technical presentations
- Industry exhibition opportunities
- Networking events and industry engagement
- Asset owner, consultant, contractor and supplier participation
- Regional content tailored to local industry challenges and opportunities
- Access to corrosion professionals from a wide range of sectors
Technical Program
The ACA technical paper process will continue as planned.
All accepted abstracts will proceed through the ACA peer review process, ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality technical content and published proceedings.
Authors with accepted abstracts are invited to express interest in presenting in one or more event locations. Technical papers will be reviewed and selected for each city based on program requirements, audience relevance and scheduling considerations.
Full paper submissions due by 19 July 2026. (No extension past this deadline)
Please note that abstract submissions have now closed and no new abstracts will be accepted.
Exhibition & Sponsorship Opportunities
The NZ/AU Technical Symposium & Expo provides a unique opportunity for organisations to connect directly with corrosion professionals, asset owners, engineers, consultants and decision-makers across multiple cities and markets.
Exhibition and sponsorship packages will be available for individual events or across the full roadshow series.

Looking Ahead
The NZ/AU Technical Symposium & Expo represents an exciting opportunity to strengthen engagement with corrosion professionals throughout New Zealand and Australia while continuing to build momentum toward a future New Zealand-hosted Corrosion & Prevention Conference.
In line with the existing conference rotation, the 2027 Corrosion & Prevention Conference will proceed in Adelaide, South Australia.
